In December 2007, at a conference in Tirana, Albania during World Accountancy Week, the Koninklijk Nederlands Instituut van Registeraccountants (NIVRA), IFAC's member body in the Netherlands, signed an agreement with the Institute of Authorized Chartered Auditors of Albania to create an education program in Albania. The project is being facilitated by the BISTA Project, which is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) .
